Originally from Mount Kisco New York, and raised in the suburbs of Washington, DC, Declan Waterman is currently a student at Ohio University studying Commercial Photography and Sports Management. His portfolio reflects a wide range of interests, from the intensity of football and ice hockey to the artistic details found in cars and architecture. At the center of his work is a genuine passion for the creative process and for photography itself. He has also had the opportunity to attend The School of The New York Times, where he gained valuable experience participating in critiques and learning from Pulitzer Prize–winning photographers. Declan approaches each project with the goal of capturing the authentic spirit of his subjects, treating every frame as a chance to further explore and refine the craft he loves.
